SIDE-SPLITTING street names such as Crotch Crescent, Honey Knob Hill and Minge Lane are proving no laughing matter for fed-up residents.
Yesterday it was revealed people living on a road called Bell End in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, believe the street named has depressed house prices by as much as £60,000.
Residents feel so strongly, they've launched a petition to have their street's name changed and say children living there have been bullied at school.
But they're not the only ones suffering as their road names raised eyebrows among locals and passers-by.
A recent top 10 list of outrageous names highlighted some of the most unfortunate places you can live in the UK.
Minge Lane in Upton-upon-Severn, Worcs, and Slag Lane in Lowton, Lancs were also the top three along with Bell End.
Fanny Hands Lane in Ludford, Lincs and Crotch Crescent in Marston, Oxon, made up the top five.
The Knob in Kings Sutton, Northants, and Cock Lane in London also made the list, along with Cockshoot Close in Stonesfield, Oxon, Cumming Street in Islington, North London and Cock-A-Dobby in Sandhurst, Berks.
The petition read: "As you may be aware, the term 'bell end' can be seen and used as a rude and/ or offensive word.
"It can affect people including children being bullied and teased at school and has generally now become a laughing stock, as seen very recently on Facebook and other social media sites, and it's time for a change."
One resident, who did not want to be named, said: "It was all very funny until I heard a few of the children on the street were being bullied at school.
"It's not their fault where they live. I think the road name should be changed to something less silly.
"It does concern me that house prices are being undermined as well. I can understand the name might put some people off."
But Stephen Young, 72, of Minge Lane, believes the reaction of Bell End residents to be over the top.
