Opening up about her fears! Tamar & Vince‘s Thursday, January 28, episode features Tamar Braxton anxiously preparing for surgery, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The singer, 38, was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars‘ 21st season but had to quit in November after doctors found blood clots in her lungs. She underwent surgery for a vascular disorder called thoracic outlet syndrome on December 3, during which she had a rib removed that was pushing on an artery in her chest.
In the WE TV series’ footage that was filmed late last year, Braxton and husband Vincent Herbert chat at the hospital about her condition, where he tells her that she survived the clots in part because she is in good physical shape.
“The moment when you think you in control, it’s like God comes and slaps the control out your mouth,” she tells the camera tearfully. “‘OK, God — I got the message.’ … So terrible.”
Later, Braxton gets wheeled into surgery on a gurney, where she admits to being worried about the procedure.
“I’ve never had surgery — I’m scared out of my wits,” she says to the camera. “Pray for me.”

Tamar & Vince airs on WE tv on Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST.
